Having a stable job, having stable financial situation and helping us get back on track and building for future really helps. The job coach of our partner agency comes to coach any guests that are looking for jobs. We also work with local temp agencies, contractors and other employers.

In addition to an investment in other resident’s recovery, each resident is expected to be a good neighbor and engaged citizen through volunteerism in the community. Education and counseling group is designed to teach consumers about addiction. New Beginnings assist in identifying destructive behaviors and teach cognitive skills to help overcome and change behaviors. All while achieving serenity, peace of mind, responsible decision making, social engagement and family responsibility.

Many amazing things have happened to me since February 4, 2008; it was a day that changed my life forever. Today I am a father of two amazing boys, Ricky and Carson, whom I want to set a great example for. Having a recovery community to be part of is crucial in early sobriety. When you move into one of our houses, you’re not just moving into a sober house, you’re moving into a recovery community. We are dedicated to helping individuals in early recovery rebuild their lives.

Engaging in service work brings a sense of purpose, personal growth, and builds relationships. It fosters empathy, makes a positive impact, and improves mental health. Ultimately, it strengthens communities and promotes compassion and altruism. Our Vision is to provide a personal transformation from engaging in the core values of life. Richard’s House was the first house we opened when starting “A New Beginning.” Since its opening in November of 2014, we have successfully helped many clients to rebuild their lives. We are very proud to announce that we opened our fifth house in remembrance of the late Dick Ranaudo, a man who helped many people in their journey through recovery. The Dick Ranaudo House is a 13 bed house close to downtown New Haven. After opening the Richard House and seeing how effective it was in helping to change lives, we felt an overwhelming desire and passion to help more people by opening up Carson’s House. Parenting classes help parents develop and assist in helping establish discipline skills. This 9-week action plan engages participates to explore and identify areas of need, learning how best to change or better parent their children.

Our unique transitional recovery housing model includes intestine outpatient treatment, adult peering and a 12-step recovery program.

From detox to relapse prevention, we provide a supportive environment for women and men on their journey to sobriety. Redemption House Foundation has helped save the lives of 486 individuals. Redemption House Foundation is mainly staffed by sober and drug-free volunteers, many who are living in our New Beginning sober houses.

New Beginning Guests are required to engage in some sort of community service work.
